 Sanjay Pendurkar
Sanjay Pendurkar has been an adventure enthusiast for almost 25 years. He has participated in Himalayan mountaineering expeditions scaling some of the great summits like Mount Norgu, Mount Kanamo and Mount Mon. He was also member of expedition team to Mount Kamet, Dharamsura and Matri. In the Western Ghats he has taken part in various Sahyadri Rock climbing Expeditions including Duke's nose, Bahiri, Nagnath, Khada Parsi, Bhairav gadh and Kokan Kada to name a few.
While continuing his mountaineering activities in the Himalayas, Sanjay was introduced to Paragliding by a British Pilot. He got completely hooked on to this new sport and ever since has been actively promoting paragliding and flying all over India. He has the credit of exploring flying sites like Pavna Lake, Shinde Hill and Ratnagiri Bhate Beach.
In the last ten years as a Paragliding Instructor he has trained over 800 students from all walks of life and from various parts of the World. The students include more than 50 Indian Navy Cadets and Officers and M.P. Rahul Gandhi.
Sanjay Pendurkar has successfully completed S.I.V. (Security in flight) course at Oludeniz-Turkey and an Acrobatics course in Nepal. He has been visiting Bir-Billing in Himachal Pradesh for paragliding trips since 2000.
As a Competition Pilot he has upgraded his skills to fly with some of the best in the world of Paragliding. His participation includes various international competitions including the FAI [Category-II] Pre-PWC in 2003, 2004 and 2005. He was adjudged No. 4 in the International category and No. 2 in the Indian category at the ‘Nikolai Experience Cup’ held in Bir-Billing in 2006.
Sanjay Pendurkar is part of the 5 member Technical Committee appointed by PWCA (Paragliding World Cup Association) hosting the Himalayan Pre World Cup at Bir-Billing, Himachal Pradesh from 14-20 October 2008.

In the serial class he was ranked No. 5.

 Yogi
''The flying yogi' of Kamshet belongs to the Himalayan country of Nepal. He has been practicing paragliding for more than ten years. Yogi’s devotion to paragliding is noticeably seen in his dynamic flying and the effort taken by him to help others learn the sport.
When it comes to first flights, Yogi’s presence on the take-off itself is the greatest assurance for a student pilot.
Yogi is one of the best Tandem Paragliding Pilot in the country and has more than thousand tandem flights (and counting...) under his belt. |
